Love of Doctor Who can make a person do many things, however, gutting a toy sonic screwdriver and fitting it with a micro-controller is probably one of the rarer ways to show appreciation. This sonic screwdriver uses an Arduino micro-controller and Infra-Red LED to control various appliances such as TVs, and projectors, allowing them to be turned on and off by aiming the sonic screwdriver at them and pressing a button.
